Keep these important numbers handy: 129 (police), 127 (medical emergencies), 128 (fire). The general European emergency number 112 also works throughout Albania. Pharmacies are common and usually marked as 'Farmaci'. In case of serious issues, head to the nearest hospital in major cities like Tirana or Shkodër.
